We are pleased to announce that the OES Screening Committee has concluded the initial review phase of the ₦200 Million OES Grant Scheme, generously sponsored by Chief Lesi Maol, and is set to proceed to the next stage of the selection process.
The application portal officially closed on 9 January 2026, with over 500 applications received. All submitted applications were assessed using a structured scoring rubric based on responses provided in the multiple-choice section of the application form, against an established cut-off benchmark.
Following this evaluation, 111 applicants met the required cut-off and have been shortlisted to advance to the next phase of the grant selection process. This next phase will commence with a mandatory training session scheduled as follows:
Date: Saturday, 14 February 2026
Time: 10:00 AM
Venue: To be communicated on or before Wednesday, 11 February 2026
The shortlisted applicants are listed under the document titled “OES Grant Stage One Shortlisted Applicants.” Please note that being shortlisted at this stage does not automatically guarantee progression to subsequent phases. All shortlisted candidates will undergo further verification at the training venue to confirm the following:
- Proof of Ogoni origin
- Attendance at the OES Summit 2025
Accordingly, shortlisted applicants are required to attend the training wearing their OES T-shirt, as well as come along with a Valid ID Card (Voters Card, Drivers License, International Passport etc,) and Local Government Identification Letter. Applicants who attended the Summit but did not receive an OES T-shirt may still attend, as verification will be conducted using the official Summit attendance register. This also applies to approved virtual attendees.
Applicants who were not included among the initial 111 shortlisted candidates, 439 applicants in total, have been placed on a separate list titled “OES Grant Applicants for Further Screening.” These applicants are invited to undergo physical screening for the opportunity to join the shortlisted pool.
Screening Schedule:
Tuesday, 10 February – Thursday, 12 February 2026
(Please check OES social media platforms for your specific date and time of screening)
Endeavour to come in your OES T-shirt, a Valid ID Card (Voters Card, Drivers License, International Passport etc,) and Local Government Identification Letter. Applicants who attended the Summit but did not receive an OES T-shirt may still attend, as verification will be conducted using the official Summit attendance register. This also applies to approved virtual attendees.
